2008 / 2009 Carcass Competition Summary
1 439 Commercial Farmers and 94 Emergent farmers competed in the different competitions. A total of 9 188 Beef, Lamb, Goat and Pigs was judged in the Commercial categories, whereas 654 Beef, Lamb, Goat and Pigs was judged in the Emergent categories.
It is also Samic’s commitment to the Red Meat Industry to involve Emergent Farmers to participate in the competition and by doing so, to expose them to the market requirements and to ensure a building of capacity of quality meat products.
